- 1994 :: Oman National Investment
Corporation (ONICH) and Warranty Holdings International UK form Gulf Warranties,
a joint venture to provide third party extended warranties to the Gulf countries.
This is the first company to bring the concept of third party extended warranties
to the region.
- 1995 :: Operations start in the
UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain, mainly covering Japanese – manufactured vehicles such as
Mazda, Hyundai, Toyota and Daewoo Gulf Warranties pioneers the concept of Gulf-wide
coverage
- 1996 :: The head office in Dubai
is opened To solve customers’ problems arising from disparities between manufacturers’
warranties, Gulf Warranties starts covering European vehicles including Mercedes
Benz, BMW, Audi and the like
- 1997 :: Operations start in Saudi
Arabia, with Ford, Kia, Mazda and Toyota/Lexus ONICH buys Warranty Holdings’ shares
