Gulf Warranties is headed by very strong team of personnel with years of experience and extensive knowledge in the GCC warranties market.

The day-to-day management of the Company is exercised by the General Manager, who is supported by a management team that is responsible for implementing strategies to achieve its targeted profitability and managing operation of the company.

Waél Al-Saáfin, General Manager

Wael holds a Bachelors degree in Science and Computer Engineering apart from several other automotive certifications.
Wael, a New Zealand national is an Industry qualified professional and has held Senior Managerial positions in his previous employment.

He posses several years of experience in extended warranties. He possess strong business acumen and with his rich and varied experience, he plans to lead the company to greater financial and operational performances in the years to come.

Mr. Saeed Mohammed AlBahhar, Chairman-Gulfwarranties WLL

Chairman since 19 July 2018.

Bachelor Degree in Economics from Jacksonville University, USA (Representing Emirates Development Bank, UAE).
Saeed Mohamed AlBahhar holds directorship on the Boards of the Emirates Development Bank, Takaful Re Ltd, U.A.E., Arab Satellite Organization, K.S.A. and Hellas-Sat Cyprus.
Tony Alex, Finance Manager - Corporate

An MBA in Finance and an Associate Member of the Institute of Motor Industry (AMIMI), UK. Tony, the senior most staff of Gulf Warranties joined the Company in 1997, in its Kuwait branch. Presently, stationed in Dubai and designated as the Corporate Finance Manager of the Company, he heads the accounts department and is also a part of the General Management Team.

Apart from supporting the Management team in a variety of operational decisions he is engaged in financial analysis and is responsible for aiding business planning by providing appropriate financial advice and undertaking related accounts administration. His value based performance and enriching experience in the Middle East Warranty Industry, for over 16 years is deemed invaluable. Prior to joining the Company, he served in a leading Fund Management Company in India.

Samuel Verghese, Director-Gulfwarranties WLL

Bachelor of Commerce from Osmania University, India and an Associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Samuel Verghese joined Arig in March 1997 in the finance department and assumed the role of Director, Finance in January 2008. He has joined General Management Team in January 2017. He currently holds Board memberships at Arima Insurance Software (Bahrain), Gulf Warranties (Bahrain) and GlobeMed (Bahrain), Arig Capital Limited (London), and Arig Insurance Management DIFC (Dubai). Prior to joining the Company, he held various managerial positions in companies in India.

Fareed Lutfi, Director-Gulfwarranties WLL

Fareed Lutfi serves as the Secretary General, Emirates Insurance Association, the Secretary General Gulf Insurance Federation and a director of Al Fajer ReTakaful Insurance Company KSCC.

Fareed is currently serving as an Independent Board Member of Gulf Warranties, in Bahrain and Board of Skandia International Middle East based in DIFC. Previously, Fareed served as Group Director, Insurance Services, at Dubai Holding and President of Dubai Insurance Group at Dubai Group.
Fareed also served as Chairman and Senior Executive Officer of DHIS (a captive company based in DIFC), Vice Chairman and member of Reinsurance Committee of Dubai Group Sigorta, Turkey. Board Member, Audit Committee member and HR Committee member of Oman National Investment Corporation Holding, Board member and Chairman of the Audit Committee of National Life & General Insurance Company, both based in Oman and Board Member of Gulf Assist, based in Bahrain. Fareed previously served as General Manager and Consultant of Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (AMAN). He was the Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Insurance Company, Dubai. Fareed was a Board Member and advisor of Dubai International Financial Centre across the spectrum of insurance and reinsurance pillar.
Meher Patel, Human Resources / Underwriting Manager & Secretary to the Board, Corporate

A Post graduate in Human Resource Discipline from XLRI (leading HR Institute in Asia) Meher joined the company in July 2000 prior to which she worked for a leading Insurance company within the Region.

Meher has obtained extensive experience in the field of Human Resources, aligning HR and business strategy, re-engineering organization processes, listening and responding to employees, and managing transformation and change. She has strong knowledge on local employment laws within the GCC and has formulated the personnel systems and strategies appropriate to the Company’s corporate mission and goals. She further handles the underwriting function in the company and undertakes the crucial role of Board Secretary.

P. V. Vibindas, IT Manager, Corporate

Vibindas is a dual Master degree holder in Information Technology and MBA Finance. He joined the company in July 2006. Vibindas has over 12 years working experience in the UAE and has a good set of analytical skills with sound Technical knowledge. He also has extensive experience in Project Management and Infrastructure Management

Vibindas ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. He plans, coordinates, directs, and designs IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provides administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. He work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization who will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Rohan Menon, Claims Manager, Corporate

A Technical Graduate in Automobile Engineering, and associate member of Institute of Motor Industry, U.K. Rohan joined the company in March 2000 working under the Claims Unit.

Over the years, Rohan has been trained under the technical expertise of the previous General Manager – Mr. John Forrester and has developed detailed and accurate experience in the field of automotive warranty Claims Management. He has more than 25 years of automotive experience in total, & over the years acquired vast knowledge of the subject. Prior to joining Gulf Warranties has also worked for vehicle dealerships in various capacities.
